Caribbean Independent Advice
Compared with the upset that can be caused by forgetting to do so, or the potential extra tax payable and the uncertainty about what you might have 'really wanted', the cost of making a Will is trivial.
Many people believe that if they have property in two or more countries (for example, England and Jamaica ) that they need to make a separate Will in each country.
There is no need to do this and in fact it can be dangerous - the two (or more) documents may accidentally conflct with each other and in the worst case one may be completely invalid. By the time this is discovered, it is too late to fix it!
Contact us and we can explain how to safely take care of all your property - wherever and whatever it is - in one Will document we can prepare.
